Privacy notice
Last updated: 22 August 2026
NewCo Radar is a UK business-information service operated by Owen Neale, a sole trader based in Worcester, UK ("we", "us"). It supplies UK accountancy firms with reports about newly incorporated companies, built from the public Companies House register. This notice explains what personal data we handle, why, and your rights. Contact for anything privacy-related: owen@newcoradar.uk.
1. Data about newly incorporated companies (report data)
Our reports contain information from the public Companies House register: company names, registered office addresses, incorporation dates, SIC codes, and the names of directors as published on the register. Where a director is an individual, this is personal data.
- Source: the Companies House public register only. We do not combine it with data from any other source, and we do not collect or supply personal email addresses, personal phone numbers, or home addresses of directors.
- Why (lawful basis): legitimate interests — supplying business-to-business market information that Parliament has deliberately made public so that companies and their officers can be identified and contacted. Directors' service addresses are published for exactly this purpose.
- What we add: a relevance score for each company (not for any individual), based on sector, address and company-type signals.
- Retention: report data is refreshed weekly and old extracts are kept only for our own record-keeping.
2. Data about the firms we contact (prospect data)
We contact UK accountancy firms about our service. For that we hold: firm name, business postal details from the public register, business website, the name of a partner or owner as published on the firm's own website or professional profiles, and a business email address published by the firm. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in business-to-business marketing of a relevant service. Every message we send identifies us and includes a working opt-out; if you say no, we record the minimum needed to make sure we never contact you again, and nothing else.
3. Data you give us (enquiries and sign-ups)
If you submit our contact form or email us, we receive what you send: your firm's name, your email address, and your territory and plan preferences. We use it to answer you and provide the service. Form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc. on our behalf; payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card details. We use Google Workspace for email. These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards (UK adequacy or standard contractual clauses).
4. What we don't do
- No consumer data — this is a business-to-business service.
- No selling of your contact details to anyone.
- No profiling of private individuals; no automated decisions with legal effect.
- No tracking cookies on this site.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data; object to our use of it (including to direct marketing — objection to marketing is always honoured); and ask us to restrict processing. Email owen@newcoradar.uk and we will respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
6. Directors who appear in our reports
If you are a company director and would prefer your name not to appear in reports we supply, email us and we will exclude you from future reports. (Your listing on the Companies House register itself is controlled by Companies House, not us.)
